5 books I want to pick up in 2020

Before I talk about books published this year that I want to read, what about the books that are already out? Here are five that I really want to get around to reading.

The Dark Vault

The Dark Vault by V.E. Schwab

2020 is the year I will read a V.E./Victoria Schwab book that isn’t Cassidy Blake (which I adore). The Dark Vault is actually a compilation of two novels: The Archived and The Unbound.

I also want to read Leigh Bardugo – perhaps Six of Crows?

Blood for Blood

Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin

I adored Wolf by Wolf and it was my favourite novel of 2015… but I haven’t read the sequel. Maybe I’m worried that it won’t make me feel the same way as the first book? But I’m excited to get back to our protagonist Yael.

Almost Adults

Almost Adults by Ali Pantony

I’m loving books about millennials at the moment, so this sounds perfect for me – it’s also about female friendship, one of my favourite things to read about.

Strange Planet

Strange Planet by Nathan W. Pyle

My friend Bella bought me this for Christmas (thank you, Bella!) because I’m a big fan of the Instagram account. The online comics are adorable, relatable and clever – and I’m sure the book will be too!

Fleabag: The Scriptures

Fleabag: The Scriptures by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Another Christmas book that I’ll be reading ASAP! I’m a very new fan to Fleabag – I only binge-watched the seasons last year. If it wasn’t for the odd name, I’d have watched it much earlier.

This is a collection of the complete scripts, plus original commentary from creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Have you read any of these books?

Doesn’t it?! I also want to read Adults by Emma Jane Unsworth. Perhaps I should write a post on millennial books to read!
