I’m sure there will be so many brilliant books published this year, but here are five that I’m particularly looking forward to!

Read With Pride by Lucy Powrie
In May, the sequel to The Paper and Hearts Society is published. I’m very much looking forward to catching up with my friends Tabby, Olivia, Cassie, Henry and Ed again!
‘When Olivia discovers the need for more LGBTQ+ titles in her school library, an idea forms. But with two book clubs to run, exams to prepare for, and a girlfriend, just how long will it be before Olivia burns out?’

My Type on Paper by Chloe Seager
I met my friend Chloe Seager a few summers ago and we bonded over Love Island, so I shouldn’t be at all surprised that she’s written this rom-com, out in February.
‘Maya is down in the dumps … quite literally. She’s just been pied off by her boyfriend before what was supposed to be their last romantic summer before heading off to Uni. Luckily help is at hand in the form of her friends, determined to hook her up with a fun summer romance, no strings attached.’

Devil, Darling, Spy by Matt Killeen
I loved the first book, Orphan, Monster, Spy, so I’ll be delving into this, published in March, as soon as I can.
‘Sarah is used to spying in the champagne-fuelled parties of Nazi Berlin. But her new mission is infinitely more deadly – tracking a lethal disease across bullet-torn Africa, to uncover the monster who would use it to create fifty million corpses.’

Bridge of Souls by Victoria Schwab
I tried to guess where the next Cassidy Blake story would be set… but I was wrong! In October, we’re travelling to New Orleans.
‘In a city of ghost tours and tombs, raucous music and all kinds of magic, Cass could get lost in all the colorful, grisly local legends. And the city’s biggest surprise is a foe Cass never expected to face: a servant of Death itself.’

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
In May, the collective YA interwebz will be heading back to the world where my love of YA began.
‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will revisit the world of Panem sixty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Tenth Hunger Games.‘
