Here’s all the books I bought and received in December!
After I posted my review of Goodbye Stranger, Andersen Press kindly offered me a review copy of Orbiting Jupiter – and said that it’ll make me cry! It promises to be a heartbreaking story about two young boys on a journey through the bitter Maine winter. I’m also very excited about reading my buddy Harriet Reuter Hapgood’s contemporary romance novel, The Square Root of Summer. I also acquired Tanya Byrne’s For Holly, which I cannot wait to read as I enjoyed her previous YA mysteries, Heart-Shaped Bruise and Follow Me Down.
I took a mini book shopping trip with Jim and Debbie before Christmas and treated myself to Christmas with the Savages and Nancy and Plum because I cannot resist Christmas stories. Jim also kindly bought me a copy of the award-winning Flora and Ulysses after I said I hadn’t read! It looks like a brilliant combination of words and pictures. I also bought the very beautiful The Fox and the Star, reviewed here.
I also downloaded a few review eBooks: The Summer Before the War, Pretty Is, Love and Other Alien Experiences and Moth Girls. And I bought The Big Book of Christmas Mysteries to read next year. I’m especially looking forward to Love and Other Alien Experiences because I’ve been following blogger Kerry Winfrey for a few years!
Have you read any of these?
