It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday and this week we’re talking about our top most anticipated January-June 2016 releases! I decided to pick ten young adult and middle grade books.
Never Evers by Tom Ellen & Lucy Ivison
I adored Lobsters and so Never Evers – a fun tale of romance, mayhem and hamsters – went straight on to my TBR! I cannot wait to read this in January and I’ll also be taking part in the blog tour.
Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard
A novel about friendship and growing up that I’ve been hearing lots of amazing things about. I already have a copy, so I will be getting stuck into it early next year! I was brave. She was reckless. We were trouble.
Head Over Heels by Holly Smale
Reading the next books in the Geek Girl series was a great end to the year. I loved returning to Harriet’s wacky world and I won’t be waiting too long to pick up the fifth book!
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
Ruta Sepetys is one of my favourite authors (she’s also written Between Shades of Gray and Out of the Easy) and her new novel – based on a true story from the Second World War – promises to be as breathtaking as ever!
Harper and the Circus of Dreams by Cerrie Burnell & Laura Ellen Anderson
Harper and the Scarlet Umbrella was one of my favourite children’s novels of the year and I cannot wait to return to City of Clouds in the sequel and join Harper on her next adventure.
When We Collided by Emery Lord
I’ve never read a novel by Emery Lord (author of Open Road Summer and The Start of Me and You), which is shocking because they’re such me books. I’ll definitely be picking up her newest: Meet Vivi and Jonah: A girl and a boy whose love has the power save or destroy them.
The Square Root of Summer by Harriet Reuter Hapgood
I can’t wait to read my buddy Harriet’s debut romance novel about grief, world-stopping kisses and rips in the space-time continuum. I’m lucky to already have a copy so this is on my current TBR!
Mystery & Mayhem: Twelve Deliciously Intriguing Mysteries by Various
I adore middle grade mysteries and this is a whole book full of them, written by many wonderful children’s authors, from Katherine Woodfine to Robin Stevens.
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
I added Morgan Matson’s upcoming novel to my Goodreads wishlist before it even had a title, description or publication date. Now it has all of these things and I know it’ll be as perfect as ever.
Summer Days & Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins
And lastly, a new short story collection edited by Stephanie Perkins. It’s the perfect companion to My True Love Gave to Me. If there’s anything I love more than wintry stories, it’s summer stories!
Are any of these on your wishlist?
