Here’s the books I bought and acquired in November!
November saw me attend my first graphic novel event. I got to hear Noelle Stevenson talk about her books and it was such a brilliant and interesting event. I bought a copy of Lumberjanes, Vol. 1: Beware the Kitten Holy and got it signed.
I also won The Boy on Top of the Mountain from @PuffinBooks. I loved Stay Where You Are and Then Leave, so I can’t wait to read this! And my bookish buddies gave me a copy of Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls, Ballet Shoes, Jellicoe Road, Front Lines, and Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times. I’m particular excited to read Jellicoe Road because it’s an Aussie YA novel that’s highly acclaimed and much-loved!
I requested a few review copies from publishers to read over the Christmas break: Never Evers, Anna and the Swallow Man and Lily and the Christmas Wish – they appear in my winter TBR post. I also received a surprise copy of Underwater and 101 Pieces of Me. I’m probably most excited to read Never Evers because I adored Lucy Ivision & Tom Ellen’s Lobsters.
I also perused NetGalley and downloaded eBooks to review: If I Could Tell You, Up to This Pointe, The One in a Million Boy, The Salt and the Sea, The Ballroom, Changers and Shtum. And lastly, I bought Unsticky, Sara Manning’s first adult novel. I’m most excited about The Salt and the Sea, written by one of my favourite authors, Ruta Sepetys. I adored Between Shades of Gray and Out of the Easy. It’ll be one of the first books I read in January, I’m sure!
Have you read any of these?
