A stack of books to tackle in January…

I posted some bookish resolutions for 2013 recently and one of them is to ‘read the books I already have’ in particular the books I purchased myself, and the only way I can be happy about doing this is if I tackle my review pile first! So behold, a large stack of (mainly blue!) books to tackle in January:

A stack of books to tackle in January...

Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Genus by Jonathan Trigell
Unravelling by Elizabeth Norris
The Drowned Cities by Paolo Bacigalupi
Under My Hat edited by Jonathan Strahan
Eternally Yours by Cate Tiernan
The Diviners by Libba Bray
Vortex by Julie Cross
Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

It’s not that I do not want to read any of these books – far from it, I’m actually pretty excited about all of them – but I find it difficult to read all of the books I need to read, and so setting myself a goal often helps. I think first up will be Requiem, the highly anticipated conclusion to the Delirium trilogy and Vortex, the sequel to Tempest. Roll on 2013!

  1. I love your book stack :). I really want to read Tempest. I’ve heard good things about it. I hope you enjoy the sequel! Is it a trilogy?

  2. Oh, man! You already have Requiem! That’s what I’d read first too.

  3. OH! The Drowned Cities! that is lucky! I’ve looked in every book store for that one but I guess I’ll have to order it online at this point!
    Hope you love it! :)

  4. Oh my purple dinosaur you have Requiem! I am so jealous! I can’t wait to read what your review of it, as well as your review of the Diviners.

  5. I loved reading The Diviners! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)

  6. I love your book stack! I wish I could already read Vortex and Requiem! But I’m excited for all those books! :D

  7. Great pile, I want these books as well, hopefully I can get them soon.

    Happy reading :)
    My Haul

  8. Genus is such a great book – a dystopian vision of a future London that has some alarming parallels with the politics of the present. The author also wrote “Boy A” which I’d also recommend.

  9. Ahhhh sooo jealous of Requiem!!!
Looks like you have a great stack for January and lots of hefty ones too! Best of luck!
