Behold the Pretty Books!

Behold the Pretty Books!
I discovered The Book Warehouse this week and I bought these books there – all for £9!

The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides
Little Women & Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott
What Katy Did by Susan Coolidge
What Katy Did at School & What Katy Did Next by Susan Coolidge

The Virgin Suicides has been on my wishlist for years now so I couldn’t not buy it – it has a lovely cover and was only £3.99. I expect it’ll be one of my 2012 classics! I also had to buy these lovely children’s classics, which I’ve never read before.

Behold the Pretty Books!
And I bought these e-books:
The Book of Lies by Mary Horlock
The Things We Did for Love by Natasha Farrant
Swim the Fly by Don Calame
UnStrung by Neal Shusterman (pre-order)

Behold the Pretty Books!
And I got these e-galleys:
Speechless by Hannah Harrington
Arise by Tara Hudson

I do not normally read paranormal novels but I really enjoyed Hereafter when I read it last year – there’s just something about ghosts that feels a little different to every other paranormal entity. I also enjoyed Hannah Harrington’s début novel, Saving June, and so I’m looking forward to Speechless. I love how the cover is completely plain (but shiny!). It just says the ‘saying she’s sorry isn’t enough’ on the back.

I’m very happy with all the wonderful books I bought and received this week! I should probably stop as my ‘to read’ list is 157, but I can’t see it happening…

  1. I really hope you enjoy the Little Women and What Katy Did books! They’re all really wonderful and fantastic reads :).

  2. Yay! The Virgin Suicides! Powerful, powerful stuff! Parts of that book stayed with me long after I finished it.
