I read a lot of YA contemporary (as promised!) this month!
Here’s what I read in June:
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach (e-galley)
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead
We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han
Sketches From a Hunter’s Album by Ivan Turgenev
Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O’Malley (e-galley)
Londoners by Craig Taylor (e-book)
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
I expected to really enjoy Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour because I heard that it was full of road trips, playlists, and summer romance, but I actually absolutely LOVED IT. It’s definitely one of my favourite YA contemporary books. I’ve already started Second Chance Summer and I hope I enjoy it just as much (and I already squeeled at the reference to Amy & Roger). I also loved reading Londoners, which is a collection of interviews from all sorts of people who have a view about London. I enjoyed all of the books I read this month and so I’m very happy. I wonder what July will bring?
